We only gave you 100 words but you’ve managed to sum up your reasons for saying “Yes” in impressively short but inspiring fashion over the weekend, and the message from Scotland’s women has been particularly positive.

I have always believed that Scotland needed to be independent in order to flourish. As a child, I could not articulate these feelings - I just “knew” it; it was in me in the way that some people just know what they want to be when they grow up from a very early age.

Independent Lothians MSP, Margo MacDonald, explains why she supports an independent Scotland. 

Lawyer, producer, actress and mother of four, Tasmina Sheikh is a talented woman.  She believes Scotland has the talent to flourish as an independent country.

Working mum Marj, from Edinburgh, is voting yes because she believes Scotland's people have different priorities from the Westminster Government. 

The idea of an independent Scotland may have traditionally attracted the male voter, or so they say. However, for me and many of my female colleagues, friends and family, an independent Scotland brings us opportunities like never before.

Scotland is a rich country. We all know that and yet despite our plentiful resources, our talents and ingenuity, we also know that there is real inequality in our society.  So, why isn’t Scotland doing better, given all the natural and human wealth we enjoy?

The question is at its starkest when it comes to child poverty.
