No answer from No campaign

question_mark.jpgThree important questions about Scotland and the European Union were put to the head of the No campaign Alistair Darling today.

They were posed when he and Yes Scotland chief executive Blair Jenkins went head-to-head for the first time in a Daily Politics television interview.

Q1. Asked by Blair JenkinsWill you withdraw the No campaign’s false assertion that an independent Scotland could be forced to join the euro?…..No answer.

Q2. Asked by Blair Jenkins – Is it the No campaign’s official position that an independent Scotland would find itself outside the EU and would have to re-apply for membership?.....No answer.

Q3. Asked by Jo Coburn, Daily Politics interviewerAlistair Darling, you’re scaremongering?.....No answer.

Perhaps not altogether surprising from the chairman of the No campaign!

The answers he should have provided:

1. No I won’t, even though I know an independent Scotland couldn't be forced to join the euro.

2. Yes it is, although I couldn't possibly admit that in public.

3. Yes.

I visited your site to read an article. Unfortunately a popup asked me to accept cookies. I chose to decline as I do not wish you to have any of my details. Another message popsed up telling me that if I choose to continue then you will assume I have given my consent. In no way did I give my consent. I tried to leave your site but it opened in anoter window and a cookie was uploaded. This is an appalling breach of my privacy and illegal access to my computer. I did not choose to accept cookies but they were fordced on me. Can you tell me how I can ensure you have not ripped/stolen my details from me regadless of my wishes? I am so very disappointed with you and your appalling tactics. I want you to confirm and to prove to me that my details were not collected by you please? The sad thing is I support independance but your actions have made me believe that the rights of ordinary Scots mean nothing to you as long as you get your own way – and at any cost, including th privacy and protection of ordinary people. How in the hell is one expected to trust you when you act in this way on the website. I do not give my consent for you to access any of my details in any way and especially cookies. I seriously doubt you will bother responding but at least I have tried.Lets see if you can restpore some faith.
