Former Labour MP and independent MSP, Denis Canavan, has joined with the Yes campaign and made clear his support for Scotland becoming independent.
Mr Canavan's own journey from Labour MP to Yes Campaign supporter, reflects the journey that many other Scots in the Labour movement are commencing as they consider the benefits that being independent will bring to Scotland. As an independent country we can choose to follow a different course from the one being pursued by the Westminster government, for example, on the economy, welfare and nuclear weapons.
